Bill's Real Rubber Stamps

This font was created for a client back in my design studio days in Connecticut... we were looking for a sign font that appeared to be applied with rubber stamp letters by a child. I've used the resulting font many times since then. 116 characters, includes some pictures as well as letters. Caps only, but upper and lower case presented with slight angle differences to show stamp being hand used.

Bill's Box Specials

This is a useful little font based on an old typesetting sample I found called "Box Specials". It contains arrows (including separate tails, stems and points in all directions) and common bullet shapes, some fractions, and a few small punctuation graphics. It's a font which you'll find a hundred uses for the 79 characters in the font.

Bill's Hand Chiseled

I created Bill's Hand Chiseled back in 1990, basing it on a few letters sampled in a sign painter's book. I was looking for a typeface for a library logo that I had been assigned and used Hand Chiseled with an added ornament:

Bill's Tropical DECOrations

Bill's Tropical DECOrations was created after my wife and I returned from a great trip to Miami Beach where we fell in love with the DecoDistrict. One of the three fonts in our DECOrations series, this is one you won't find anywhere else.

I played with architectural decorations on hotels, advertising materials from the 1930s, signs and photographs and lots of other sources. This is a fun font.

1. When will there be PC versions of these fonts?

UPDATE: PC versions are now available and are being sent out to all purchasers who didn't receive them. All fonts are now sold with both Mac and PC versions in the order.

Bill's 1935 Caps

Here's a font I made based on one of the early Art Deco typefaces from the 30s. It has only Caps, but there are both large sizes (shift down) and small, plus a healthy variety of diacritical marks.

Bill's Barnhart Ornaments

The Great 19th and early 20th century type founders, Barnhart Brothers & Spindler, were the greatest in the country until they were bought out in the 1920s by American Type Founders. In my passion for collecting specimen books for design research, the BB&S books are my favorites, and from them I created this collection of glyphs as one of my best picture fonts.

I like these so much because the major font houses had nothing like them for years (and not really any as complete as these today.) The flowers, furls, frogs with bubble pipes, acorns, thistles and others are great stationery and business card decorations... you'll find you use them over and over.

Bill's Victorian Ornaments

In 1990 my design studio was in a lovely gingerbread Victorian house in Hartford, Connecticut, and it prompted me to design a picture font based on the design elements of the architecture. The result was Bill's Victorian Ornaments, a picture font I am extremely fond of (and one that has often been requested by graphic designers.) Bill's Cast O'Characters

I first released Bill's cast O' Characters 18 years ago using picture images from classic type specimen books of the late 19th  and early 2oth Centuries.
